It all started with a Helicopter scouting ride over the Austin and Lake Travis area, just to get a feel for things.

Below is a photo of: "Doc", JoLeen and my cousin Lester (by marriage to my kissin' cousin Nancy). As a

native of the central Hill country of Texas Lester was most helpful with his knowledge and history of the area.

Then we started our search on the ground with the help of a friendly local Realtor named John Powell with Keller Williams.

 

After several days of driving, looking, talking and previewing LOTS of homes and speaking with builders we settled on....

(NO we are NOT retiring. Just a geographic move so we can do more fishing. HA

Actually our lot # 47 is further to JoLeen's right...next door to the big house at the end of our street.

Daniel (from Toll Brother's) is pointing at our back yard....where deer roam! It's so peaceful.

You can't see them from the front but our new home will have 4 1/2 car garages.

The small one in the photo above is just one, which only the back side (with a window) can be seen from the street.

The area between the other 3 garages and this small one is a paved court yard with entry-ways on two sides.

Enough room for 4 cars & two motorcycles (plus room for the Navigator) under the covered entryway.


 

After the home is completed we will add a redwood deck similar to this one
