NOTE: see the (2) balls suspended over the nets at the same time!
This was my 1st Award Winning photograph. I took this in 1960 at Burroughs High School
where I attended my first photography class.
After Viet Nam and an Honorable Discharge from the Air Force in March of 1966
I took advantage of my G.I. Bill for education and attended:
Brooks Institute of Photography,
Santa Barbara, Ca
Class of 1966-67
All of the following photographs were taken by ME (J. Michael Hall)
some for classes (at Brooks), some commissioned (for $$$)
and some for FUN.....
NOTE: Please forgive the lack of quality and sharpness in some of the following photos.
The original negatives for all of the following photos were lost years ago in a flood.
Therefore, I re-photographed the prints I had saved from my old traveling exhibit to get
the following copies of these fine photos to place on this website. Therefore the quality is
not what they were originally but still useable for this website.

All of the above lead to my work with Ansco Film Company and Eastman Kodak,
who employed me to install the camera and film processing system in the
Hilltop Dome Telescope located at Sacramento Peak in Sunspot, New Mexico.
Where I took these photographs for (NOS) the National Solar Observatory.

At that time, in1966, this was the ONLY way of (attempting) to forecast weather conditions here on earth.
(This was BEFORE Satellites)
My work at Sunspot, NM lead to my working with NASA installing photographic equipment
for Ansco Film Company on the first lunar space flight in 1969. Apollo 11 piloted by
the infamous Neil Armstrong, Col Buzz Aldrin and Col Mike Collins took this photo of EARTH
while on their way to the moon. (using the camera and Ansco film I installed)
This photograph is one of the very first photos ever taken of EARTH and I had a hand
in it!
