Our Kitchen BEFORE the remodel job....

The main living area, kitchen and dining area have vaulted natural spruce beam ceilings and .
the entire home is finished in tongue and grove knotty pine walls except for the downstairs bath
which JoLeen just repainted.
We planned to replace the cabinets in the kitchen from the beginning, they were TOO dark
for our taste. And of course the counter tops, sink, fixtures, washer & dryer, and refrigerator
too.. along with the swag lamps over the sink! Also to make room for a new dishwasher.
JoLeen has her collection of copper and brass items displayed above the cabinets.
The old antique wall telephone is from my grand-parents homestead in Oklahoma
and was one of the 1st telephones ever installed in the panhandle of Oklahoma.
Matter-a-fact, the original Jack Dempsey prize fight was listened to on that phone
(broadcast over a party line from a radio) in 1921!
